The Body Knows Before Theology Does

Part 4 - When Faith is Used to Stay - And Truth is Trying to Lead You Out

My body began reacting long before my beliefs caught up.

I felt:

- constant tension

- exhaustion that didn’t lift

- anxiety before interactions

- relief only when things were quiet — briefly

I told myself this was growth. Or stress. Or spiritual warfare.

But here is the truth:

When your body is constantly bracing, it is responding to danger.

God does not speak against the warnings He built into us.

Eventually, I didn’t leave because I chose to. I left because I collapsed.

And because I left after I was already broken, the leaving was abrupt. Messy. Costly.

This is something people rarely say:

Staying too long often removes the ability to leave with clarity and dignity.
